Intaria Academy · Video 07 Send a document for signature

Let's send a document with Intaria Sign, then follow it all the way to a completed PDF. This example uses a fictional volunteer orientation document. Open Signatures and choose New request. Start with a clear title. We'll use Academy Demo, Volunteer Orientation. Add a short message explaining what the signer should review. Then enter the document text. This practice acknowledgement states that the volunteer has reviewed the orientation materials. It creates no real obligation. Under Signer one, enter Demo Alex and the practice email address. Set the role to Volunteer. Keep Required signer selected because Alex's signature is needed to complete this request. Intaria adds the signature block automatically for this document. You do not need to draw a field on the page. Scroll to Options and choose fourteen days for the expiration. Review the document and recipient. Save draft is available if you need to return later. For this walkthrough, choose Create and send. The request detail now shows Sent. Demo Alex is listed as the signer, and the audit trail records the request creation and invitation. Next, switch to Alex's signing page. Check the document title and the signer identity. Use Open document PDF to review the document before completing the fields below. Enter the signature using the available signature control. Check the printed name. The signing date is recorded automatically. Read the consent statement. For this non-binding practice document, accept it and choose Adopt and sign. The confirmation shows that the signature was recorded. Return to the request detail and refresh it. Alex is now marked Signed, and the request is Completed. Choose Download signed PDF. The finished document shows Alex's signature, printed name and signing date. Check those details against the request you sent. The next page contains the Completion Certificate. It records the document fingerprint, recipient, timestamps and event history. You've now followed the entire process: document, recipient, invitation, review, signature and completed PDF. Next, we'll add multiple signers and control their signing order.
